Lovense had been putting out toys left right and center, and they’re all pretty amazing.
But this next one needs a closer look – Hyphy.
Why will we be putting this one under a microscope? Well, it has a new feature that isn’t out in the market as widespread as most other sex toy features or designs – things like wearability or connectivity.
WHAT IS HYPHY
Hyphy is a dual sex toy, or a “2-in-1” if you would prefer.
On one end, there’s a g-spot vibrator. One the other there’s a high frequency end. If you’re not familiar with this kind of feature, imagine a magic wand, but smaller and far more concentrated.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The packaging is the standard Lovense design, with the toy and user manuals. But there is one thing that is very different. Instead of a satin baggie the toy comes with its own hard case for storage and recharging. There are also three purple nibs to use on the small end.
And, as with all products, you have access to control it with the app (or have a partner control it).
HOW IT WORKS
The usability is pretty straightforward. The “up” arrow turns on the high frequency end when you hard press it. Then you just quick press either button to scroll through the vibration levels and partners.
If you want the other end (the g-spot end) to turn on, just hard press the down button and the motor will switch over. Quick press the up and down buttons to scroll through the levels and patterns.
Easy peasy.
LOOKING AT THE VIBRATIONS
I’ve tried another brand that has the high frequency end. So, I sort of knew what to expect and how to go about testing. The g-spot end doesn’t need a spotlight but the other end … I have some suggestions for anyone wanting to give it a whirl.
The moment I turned it on, I knew what I had to do.
With high frequency ends you NEVER go straight for the clit. The vibes really are that powerful. What you do is slowly move the nib around until you’re good and ready to go for your happy spot – at least that’s how I went about it. I also couldn’t go higher than the second level, it was just that strong.
THE NIBS/NUBS
What sets Hyphy apart from other toys in its category is the three nubs that come in the case.
1. Standard sphere nub
2. “Claw” nub for hugging the clit
3. “Tongue” nub to lean towards the feeling of oral sex
I very much enjoyed all three, but the tongue nib was my favorite. It helped to take away some of the intensity while still being able to knock my socks off. I would note that it’s not going to double as a human tongue. It just hints at the sensation.
OTHER NOTES
- It’s easy to clean
- It’s waterproof
- The case doubles as a charging port
- It’s small and compact
- Fun to use on nipples or other parts of the body
FINAL VERDICT
I love that there’s a new color other than black or pink.
If you are a power queen, you’ll love the small end. The g-spot end is like Lovense’s other vibrators, but it’s nice to have included with the toy – so if you buy it and aren’t sold on the small end, you haven’t really lost anything. Plus, it’s a good value for a 2-in-1 toy.
However, I would not suggest Hyphy for anyone who has very sensitive bits (and doesn’t like them simulated with the sex toy equivalent of an earthquake).
So, yeah, all in all I totally recommend it.
